Scott Trowbridge (verified owner) –
I am spoiled. I grew up in a musical family and had nice instruments to jam on from a young age. I had a grandfather that taught me guitar repair. I note all that to say, I’ve worked on a lot of guitars for friends and family and I am familiar with solid build quality…and not. This is a solid guitar, with a nice sound, and feel. You could easily expect to pay more for this level of quality.
Immediately unboxed, tuned up, 180 degree truss rod adjustment (as is not unexpected with changes in environmental conditions in shipping) – it was ready to play. Good intonation. good action. Precise tuners. Graptech nut and bridge for tuning stability (haven’t really had it long enough to test this but I’m familiar with them on other guitars – they help).
Highly, I’d recommend it.

One of the most innovative and asteticaly please guitars ever made! The tone is solid and the note separation is spot on. My favorite guitar.

I’ve owned Martin, Taylor, Maton, and countless others in this list and because I’m a certified tech since 1972 and worked at guitar shops and music stores all over the US I think people who are saying it’s Martin, Taylor or nothing should do what I’ve done for the last however many yrs. from 72 til now don’t be so close minded and give some of the newer up and comers a fair chance. I once thought Martin was no. 1, then Taylor, and now I would definitely say the Tommy Emmanuel Maton and The Andrew White Guitars run neck and neck for first place and if you haven’t tried them please do! The Andrew White comes out ahead of Maton in my eyes because they have more outstanding models to choose from.

Great guitars, high quality, superior sustain, affordable prices, beautiful to look at, designed by a West Virginia luthier who will personally reach out to chat with his customers. What’s not to like.

I love the personal touch of Andrew Whaite’s customer service. I have had a many questions regarding the building of his guitars and every question has been answered within a day! Let’s see some of the big houses do that!

I love Andrew Whites guitars. At present, I have two, Freja and a Cybele. I think Andrews work just needs to become better known, and once they are, a larger, more vocal fan club will emerge.

I thiink Andrew White Guitars should be at the top of this list because he pays so much attention to quallity and not so much on quantity. His work speaks for itself, give them a try you wont regret it.
